A continuation of the Australian flag concept I posted a while ago. Based off the style that the Northern Territory and ACT use (designs are posted here as a reference).

All the state flags are great! Your design for the Australian one needs some work though.

Really nice. I hope Australia will use flags like that (ACT and NT already) and New Zealand will take . Then it will be possible to differ this two countries’ flags from more than 25 meters :)

Ha! I had thought that our flags should all look like this a few years ago. These are awesome. Do you think you could do NRL team flags in the same “territory” layout

I don’t like the colours on the Australian National Flag… it should be red white and blue like your red ensign, but the red and blue switched.

I really don’t like the yellow Stars on the Australian White Ensign for the same reason. Naval Ensigns should be white with red and blue features. States are fantastic though

I’m not a fan of the current flag and you’ll find that many aren’t. The current flag was chosen while we were a dominion of the British Empire, embodied by the union jack and blue, red white colours. Canada, for example, switched away from a similar style flag nearly 50 years ago. Why we’ve kept this flag for so long is bewildering considering Australia is an independent nation.

What I’ve proposed is a flag that utilises the specifically Australian components of the current flag (southern cross, federation star) and applied it to a design consistent with the other flags I’ve made as well as using colours more closely associated with Australia.
