Starting a new series here, I’m not hugely familiar with the history of the Super League there may be cases where I post something that they wouldn’t realistically wear. Anyway, I really like the look of the older Bradford uniforms so I made variations to that. The alt is mainly there to add a bit of colour to a Black/White set.

The Southern Warriors are an Australian Rules Football team that I run in a fantasy league called the World Australian Football Association (WAFA). The Warriors have been competitive in their three seasons of existence and hopefully 2010 will be continue in a similar vein.

The team is based out of Sydney, playing at ANZ Stadium, though they tend to take one or two games on the road per season to smaller regional centers in Australia.

The colours of ochre, black and blue are used widely in Australian indigenous art and the uniforms are designed in a similar art style.

Nothing really here that hasn’t been done before, the original design was unique to the league and I’ve never been a fan of the vertical panels for them.

First and foremost, I changed the name back to Footscray; “Western Bulldogs” is vague and wastes a name with rich history. The jumpers are a return to their traditional design with colours inverted for the secondary.

All signs point to the Sharkies going into round 1, 2010 sponsorless so I’ve gone with the cleanskins like the Roosters. The secondary is based on a Tennessee Titans uniform which I thought would look unique to the NRL.

After waiting months for the Roosters to announce a major sponsor for the upcoming season, I am beginning to suspect that they will begin 2010 with a blank jumper so I have done the same.
